A healthcare platform moved to a new cloud, compliant and 45% cheaper.

The problem
A telehealth platform has to be up whenever a patient needs a doctor, and it holds some of the most sensitive data there is. It needed a new cloud home that was cheaper to run and could prove it handled patient data properly.
What I changed
I led the migration of the whole platform to a new cloud provider. A migration is the one moment you get to fix everything at once, so the new setup was built for ISO 27001 and GDPR from day one, and sized to real traffic instead of launch-day guesses.
The result
The platform runs on its new cloud, compliant with ISO 27001 and GDPR, and the monthly bill is 45% lower, while production kept serving high traffic throughout.
Step by step
Moved everything, left nothing behind
The entire infrastructure went to the new cloud, not just the easy parts, so there was one platform to run instead of two.
Compliance built in on the way
The new setup was designed for ISO 27001 and GDPR from the start, rather than patched afterwards.
Sized to real traffic
Capacity matched what the platform actually used, and resources nobody used were retired.
Dashboards for the business
I managed the business intelligence dashboards the team used to run the company.
